In industrial parks and large factories, contractors are increasingly being used for technical services or works. To prove that essential occupational health and safety requirements are met, global-cert offers voluntary certification for these companies in accordance with SCC regulations (Safety Certificate Contractors).
Entrance ticket to the market
The SCC certificate is an indispensable prerequisite in many industries – nationally as well as internationally – in order to be considered when selecting contractors. Certified contractors also benefit from legal certainty, optimized management processes and more efficient workflows. This helps reduce risks from operational disruptions, environmental and property damage, and downtime costs.
Three variants of SCC certification
For companies with up to 35 employees, limited certification (SCC*) is sufficient. For companies with more than 35 employees, unrestricted certification (SCC**) is required; likewise for companies with fewer than 35 employees if they use contractors themselves. For companies that use workers in the petrochemical industry or in refineries, there is SCCP certification. In each case, a determination of the accident frequency and its comparison with limit values, standardized training of employees and managers, and positive answers to the questions from the SCC checklist are required. In addition, project visits take place to assess the occupational safety environment during the performance of the contractor’s activities.
Combining SCC certification with other certificates
SCC certification can be carried out separately, but also together with other certifications such as DIN EN ISO 9001 (quality management) or DIN EN ISO 14001 (environmental protection management). We will be happy to inform you.
SCP - Safety Certificate for a Professional Employer Organization
When companies lend personnel to other companies, this is associated with particular risks: Because the employees frequently change the place of employment, they are not immediately fully familiar with all the conditions; this increases the risk of accidents, operational disruptions and property damage. To prevent this, Global-Cert offers certification for personnel service providers in accordance with the SCP set of rules (Safety Certificate Personnel Service Provider). The basis is the SCC regulations (Safety Certificate Contractors).
Higher chance of orders
The SCP certificate is an indispensable prerequisite in many industries – both nationally and internationally – in order to be considered when selecting contractors. The certification makes it clear that the personnel of the respective personnel service provider are selected in a reliable and safety-oriented manner and are qualified accordingly. This also gives clients security – and therefore makes SCP-certified companies preferred partners. In addition, the audit offers advantages in terms of legal security, optimized management processes and more efficient workflows.
Combination with other certifications
For successful certification, the questions from the SCP checklist must be answered positively and standardized training is required for employees and managers. In addition, interviews are held with the temporary staff of the personnel service provider.
